Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Programme places are limited, so please apply as soon as possible in order to secure a seat. 

• UK 1st or 2nd class Honours business, finance, or marketing degree, or 
• Danish full-time professional Bachelor's business, finance, or marketing degree with a high average, or 
• Equivalent overseas qualifications, or 
• De Montfort University Graduate Certificate in International Business with an average score of 50% or higher 
• American BSc from Niels Brock graduates with a GPA score of 2.50 or higher 
• Proof of English language proficiency:
• IELTS Academic: overall score of at least 6.5, only one band is allowed to be below 6.5 with no band below 5.5
• PTE Academic: overall score at least 58, one band is allowed to be under 58, but no score below 55
• TOEFL Internet-based: overall score of at least 83, one band is allowed to be under 20, but no band below 17      

• We do accept home editions from the three tests above and tests may not be more than two years old

• Applicants with citizenship from the USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada do not need to show proof of language proficiency
• Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College alumni who have graduated within two years of applying for this programme do not need to provide further proof of English proficiency
• Applicants who have graduated from a degree programme with on-campus tuition in the USA, UK, or Canada (except Quebec) in the last two years will have the English test requirement waived
• Applicants coming from some African countries may be exempt from providing an English test when they meet certain criteria

• The online application form should be submitted in accordance with the deadlines above. Early submission is recommended to ensure all documents are received before the deadline
• Admission decisions will be announced within 4 weeks after the application deadline.
• After the deadline, prospective applicants will be called for an interview.
• If the applicant is accepted onto the programme, a Letter of Acceptance including payment details will be sent to the email address provided on the application form.
• Within 10 days of having received the payment, NBCBC will send a signed ST1 residence permit application form by email, allowing the applicant to begin the visa application process.

The UK programmes from De Montfort University are regularly evaluated by the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA). The EVA approvals are valid for three years and have a direct impact on the issuing of student visas by the Danish Immigration Authorities. Student visas cannot be issued beyond the validity period of the EVA approvals.

Student visas may not cover the full period of study in the years when individual programmes are being re-evaluated by EVA. Therefore, students must apply for a visa extension covering the period of study exceeding the current EVA approval.

Please note that the Danish Immigration Authorities will require the standard processing fees for the visa extension and the family reunification visas will also have to be extended.

NBCBC will provide all supplementary documentation free of charge but does not fund any visa processing fees imposed by the Danish Immigration Authorities.

Alumni who apply independently (without an agent) will receive a 20% discount on their tuition fees. Alumni are still eligible for scholarships.

The MBA scholarship serves a valuable purpose: the recognition of merit and achievement. The faculty grants scholarships based on strategic considerations, academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to making a positive impact on society.   

Scholarship details

Scholarship award: Up to DKK30,000. In exceptional cases, the faculty may consider awarding a full scholarship to an outstanding applicant.

Eligibility criteria: Open to international applicants. 

Application deadline: All international applicants who wish to be considered for scholarships must include a letter of motivation when they submit their application. The letter of motivation should address the scholarship selection criteria below.

The outcome of the scholarship application will be stated in the letter of acceptance.

• The scholarship statement must be submitted together at the time of application
• Scholarship applicants should indicate clearly that they wish to be considered for scholarship in their statements
• The application should elaborate on the applicant’s success within the selection criteria below and include evidence of achievements where possible

The outcome of the scholarship application will be stated in the letter of acceptance. If a scholarship is granted, it will administratively be deducted from the final fee instalment.
